The glass transition temperature of PTT is higher than that of PBT, the moldability is good, the crystallization rate is pleasant, and it is suitable for biaxially stretched film. The longer the carbon chain of the glycol in the saturated polyester, the softer the molecular chain, so adjusting the ratio of the glycol in the copolyester can develop new uses not found in PET films. Stretch blow molded bottles can be prepared by utilizing the draftability of PTT. Shell, the pioneer of PTT market development, expects that the world's PTT demand will reach 1000kt in 2010, becoming a new large polymer, 80% of which is used as fiber, and the rest is mainly used as film.
