In addition, Timken also offers anti-contamination bearings. Standard Timken ® carburizing bearing can effectively resist the harmful effects of moderate impurities, both in the laboratory and field testing, even more than the competition launched by the anti-product impurities. In the case of more impurities and insufficient lubrication, Timken ® anti-contamination bearings can further extend bearing life. Experiments have shown that anti-contamination bearings can last up to 2 times longer than standard Timken® bearings. In addition, we also offer Debris Signature Analysis TM services to our customers. As an advanced computer tool, this tool allows engineers to model the severity of impurities in the application environment by analyzing the "marks" of impurity damage observed on the bearing raceway surface. The tool quantifies the effects of damage marks on bearing life and helps engineers select the most suitable bearing solution.

Of course, Timken ® engineering surface treatment (ES) bearings give us different solutions. Timken's engineering surface treatment technology provides customers with better bearing performance and is widely used in the cement, mining, oilfield, metallurgical, wind, aerospace and power industries. In these industries, bearing performance and uptime are critical. The design of this bearing is characterized by the use of Timken's engineering surface coating. This coating is a metal carbide-based nano-synthesis film with extremely hard, extremely low friction surface characteristics. Some of its properties are similar to ceramics, which reduces micro-welding and adhesive wear on the contact surfaces of the rollers and raceways, especially metal-to-metal contact. Engineering surface treatment bearings can effectively prevent impurities, reduce friction and torque, reduce surface scratches, prolong the working life of bearings under poor lubrication, reduce false indentation wear and loss of lubricant. The coating process has been carefully designed to meet quality specifications and is tightly controlled at Timken's global manufacturing facilities. Timken's technical experts performed a number of performance tests to optimize the coating formulation. Experiments have shown that the maximum life of engineered surface treated bearings can be up to six times that of standard bearings.

Speaking of corrosion resistant bearings. Timken's AquaSpexx TM bearings are coated with a zinc alloy coating. The zinc alloy coating is a proprietary technology developed by Timken. It is widely used in rolling mills, processing equipment and marine applications and is effective against waterborne corrosion. The coating design is typically used in work environments where the bearing load is light and non-acidic. AquaSpexx TM bearings are highly resistant to corrosion and have proven to be up to five times the life of conventional bearings. Also, Timken's Thin Dense Chrome TM (TDC) bearing is coated with a thin layer of chrome that protects the bearings from rust and acid corrosion. These bearings are commonly used in paper machines, food and beverage processing, and the maritime industry, and are three times more corrosion resistant than conventional bearings.
