Stone is currently used as a fireplace, stove and decorative wall. If the stone fireplace is sealed with a penetrating sealant containing tung oil, the clean stone fireplace will be simpler. The sealant has moisture resistance and can form a hard protective layer on the surface of the stone.
Occasionally scrub the stone to remove dust from the stone or vacuum it with a vacuum cleaner. Add yellow laundry soap to the boiling water, mix the solution and add 1/2 pound of pumice powder and 1/2 household ammonia to mix thoroughly. The resulting solution removes soot. First brush off the soot with a brush, then brush the mixed solution onto the stone with a brush, and then wash it with a hard brush and warm water after half an hour. Rinse thoroughly with warm water.
Use a detergent or soap for daily cleaning and a mild abrasive if necessary. Rinse and dry. If it's a slate floor, soak a soft rag in the lemon oil polish, then wipe the slate with a rag to increase the aesthetics of the slate floor. Use a clean rag to remove excess oil from the stone. This makes the stone color uniform. Do not use wax on the fireplace when using the fireplace.
For grease on stone grills, a half cup of trisodium phosphate can be added to a gallon of hot water to make a solution. Wear rubber gloves and brush the stone surface with a hard brush. Rinse with warm water. If you can't completely remove the oil stains, repeat it several times. If necessary, add more trisodium phosphate, such as a cup per gallon. Since this is a very irritating solution, avoid contact with skin, carpet or fabric.
