One of the biggest problems facing solar power generation at present is how to make full use of power generation equipment in the absence of sunlight. This problem was solved in Spain by a new solution: a large local energy company has developed and applied a new heat storage device in the field. The device contains a mixture of 60% potassium nitrate and 40% sodium nitrate. A huge container of solution that can store 99% of the thermal energy generated by the solar focusing device, which in turn supplies electricity to the power plant for 15 hours without sunlight.
